About
Future Wings Academy/Akademie is an independent, co-educational remedial school and therapeutic learning centre in Kempton Park, Gauteng, established in January 2020. It was founded by a multidisciplinary team that includes an educational psychologist, an occupational therapist, a speech therapist and a remedial teacher. The school supports mainstream learners who do well in smaller inclusive classrooms, as well as children with specific learning difficulties, ADHD, ADD, autism spectrum disorder, dyslexia, anxiety and sensory processing difficulties. Classes are for Grade R to 10, in English and Afrikaans, and admission is subject to an assessment.
