PenPel is an exam reader pen for learners who experience reading barriers, including dyslexia. It scans printed text and reads it aloud in Afrikaans, English and isiZulu, so learners can access information more independently. A photo recognition feature lets learners capture longer passages and listen as the text is read aloud. The pen has online and offline reading, adjustable reading speed and volume, a large touchscreen and Bluetooth for private listening. It can be used for everyday learning, homework, studying and assessments. It does not generate answers or offer AI, dictionary, translation, spelling or grammar help.
